Charity Presentation Eve 2015

In its 14th year, the Middlesbrough Freemasons Charity Presentation Evening was again, a great success.

 

120 people gathered at the Masonic Hall Middlesbrough for this annual event, the presentation of money raised by the Freemasons of Middlesbrough and the Zetland Ladies club to local charities and good causes.

Hosted by Jim Skelton of the Freemasonry in the Community Committee and attended by the Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings Jeffrey Gillyon, the 10 Middlesbrough Lodges and the Zetland Ladies Club presented cheques to the Representitives of their chosen charities ranging from the local branch of the NSPCC to the Scanner appeal at James Cook University Hospital and the Saltburn Miniture Railway.

Jim who has hosted the event for the last 7 years said that since 2008 the Middlesbrough Freemasons had donated £149,468 to local charities, money that had been raised amongst Fremasons, their family and friends at various social evenings, sponsored walks and other events.

 

The total for this years evening was a fantastic £18,337
